So here is the start of my first blog, though some posts will resemble what I was posting on Myspace before I deleted my profile. Here I will post what's going on with my life, important news, things I've been thinking on or struggling with and other tidbits such as lyrics of songs I've written or am writing. I encourage you to leave a comment whether it is just to say hi, to comment or to discuss. So without further ado, here is my first post:
Life has a way of throwing you curve balls all the time. Well the last one I got struck me out, but I'm finally up to the plate again and all the more ready for the next one. Some may be wondering where I've been for more than a year, well lets just say for now that I had something to take care of on my own. But I'm back and larger than life.
This spring I worked at an organization that worked with and housed troubled teens. Unfortunately that job didn't pan out for the long term and I have been left without a job for the last month and a half. During that time I have been job hunting with no success, the job market is horrible in Newberg. But much else has been happening:
I've been going back to church now that I don't have a work conflict
I have reconnected with a lot of friends and come out of the old introverted shell that I had gone back into.
I've begun to sing and play piano more, bike farther, swing dance and even picked up some old compositions and have started writing again.
